Hi there! It's summertime and nearly harvest time at Lavender Rose Farms. Wondering what the above logo is? Well it's our new logo. We are rebranding and changing names! Lavender Rose Farms LLC will be changing to Lainey's Cottage Garden very soon. We are working on paperwork to change the LLC over and then all our social media, Etsy and website will also get an update. I decided to change the name because we are not a traditional lavender farm as the name Lavender Rose Farms suggested. Our gardens have morphed into more than just a lavender. Yes, we still have a lavender field with around 250-300 plants. We also have a wildflower meadow that is expanding. I have been concentrating on a cutting garden to grow flowers I use in my floral designs and lots of raised beds. We have added peonies and have started to harvest them this year and they are stunning! We have roses, blueberries, strawberries, and lots of veggies and herbs. The type of garden we have is more accurately called a cottage garden. "The cottage garden is a distinct style that uses informal design, traditional materials, dense plantings, and a mixture of ornamental and edible plants. English in origin, it depends on grace and charm rather than grandeur and formal structure." (Wikepedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cottage_garden). Lainey is a childhood nickname for Elaine. We will still offer the same great products and yes, lavender, as well as many other dried botanicals, herbs, and gifts. Our business hours (online/email) are 8 am till 5 pm Mon-Friday (except holidays) and Saturdays 9 am-3 pm. We are only open to the public for pre-arranged product pick up for local residents. I am very excited for the rebranding. Be looking for the name change soon. Here are some really gorgeous photos of our gardens this summer so far. Lavender harvest is starting this week! Till next time. Elaine
