We are down to about a week or so away from opening the online shop. I have been finishing up some last minute products - see below. Our shop opening was delayed a bit waiting for my shipping/packaging materials to arrive. Hoping to have everything by mid-next week. In the meantime, here are some things I have been working on this week. The smell of lavender permeates the homestead for sure.
Happy Halloween by the way! It is our first "Yooper" Halloween. For those who don't know, the people in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan are known as "Yoopers". Downstate folks are known as "Trolls" for those that reside under the Bridge (Mackinaw Bridge). A fellow at my husband's work says you cannot be a true Yooper unless you are born here or unless you outlive everyone else in the town you have moved to. Even if you marry a Yooper and you were not born here you are just an "honorary Yooper" by marriage. I laughed so hard at this. I guess it was quite the in depth discussion at my husband's work. However, the co-worker then informed my hubby that Hubby and I were as of now granted "honorary Yooper" status. Apparently, if a real Yooper gives you honorary status you are in - Confused? Me too. Well at least I am not a "FIP". You can read about that here - apologies extended to anyone in or from Illinois. lol http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=FIP. Happy YOOPER HALLOWEEN to all even if it's not from a "real" one.

Here we go! Getting the online store going has been a long time in the making or so it seems. I am pretty particular about my products. I test things out and make sure the product is up to snuff and something that I would use myself before I post the product. So this led to some trial and error on some products. Once I felt it was perfected, I posted some previews on our Facebook page. With the store opening within the next week or two, I thought I would give a quick overview of some of the products we will have online. I hope you enjoy the gallery. The photos below are not all inclusive of our products. I still have a couple of other that I am still working on feverishly but have not yet photographed. I am trying to get them all ready to go for the holiday season. I hope you enjoy seeing these and have a blessed weekend!
