Just a Reminder:
Our shop will be closed April 26th through May 7th. Orders already taken and scheduled to ship during this time frame will still go out as planned on scheduled dates. We will not be taking any NEW orders during this time.
While I hate to close the shop during our "busy" period with weddings, showers, etc coming up on the horizon - we do need to get our house in order so to speak.
We have several exciting projects which necessitate me closing the shop. We are moving to our new home/land! We have recently purchased land to expand our farm, as I posted in a previous blog post. If you'd like to see pics of our new property please look at the previous blog post.
We are also in the process of ordering bulk lavender plants from several greenhouses locally. We need to pick up plants and do initial planting. This will not be done until sometime in May after we are moved into our new home. I will definitely post some pictures to the blog and Facebook/Instagram site. We may be having a planting party with friends and family as we will be planting several hundred plants.
Please bear with us while we transition. We are using the next week and a half to finish painting and renovations on the inside of the house and to get packing.
See you all after May 7th!
It is official. This is our new home and the new home of Lavender Rose Farms. We closed on our house today. It has 2.25 acres and a huge barn.
We will be doing initial planting this spring/summer. Our plan is to plant about 200 plants this year, and I have some plants to transplant over from our old property as well. It will be a busy time this spring with moving and planting. We also are in the midst of planning our youngest son's graduation party from high school. Lots of good events coming this way!
I will be posting photos of our progress on this first year of major planting. Look for those pics to come next month! God bless - The Lavender Rose Farms Family
I've been painting and distressing mason jars for centerpieces and home decor for about a year now. Today, I tried my hand at hand-painting flowers. What better flower to paint than lavender? Just wanted to let everyone know that I put a listing up on our shop for these jars. They come with 1 quart size jar and 2 pint jars including the twine bow. Flowers are not included. However, I do have dried and silk flowers I can add-on as a custom order. Please see listing for pricing and details. These would make a lovely Easter or Mother's Day gift. They could be used for shower centerpieces or in a nursery or other home decor. Right now, I have a set sitting on my china cupboard. Hope everyone is enjoying their spring break. We are currently on ours. Not very springy weather other than the rain, but the warm weather will return soon enough.
